The first thought that came to me was ” surprise money, either coming from a woman, or to me”

The Book tends to relate to surprises for me (much like the 6 of hearts does in the Playing cards). It can also be referring to studies, projects, or discoveries. Sometimes it hints at something hidden, or even about the occult.

Just on the face of it, the combination of Book/Money could have the meaning of research grants! but that doesn’t apply to me in any way-

Sylvie mentions in her wonderful book “The Lenormand Oracle”, accounting studies, investment expert or a nutrition consultant/chef…….all good meanings for that combo, but again, non that I can relate to right now.

I find that if I read the cards singly, stringing them in a sentence, I usually come up with the best scenario. I then move on to combinations to flesh it out more. After playing with all possibilities, something will usually stand out more.

In this case, I think there’s an unforseen event, or a surprise, concerning money coming from a  caring or powerful woman (Bear/Woman).

I have a friend overseas, who is sending me a bit of money to help us out…maybe I’m surprised at the amount, possibly it’s more that she wrote she would send?

Or possibly I obtain a surprise amount from another source-  I’m not sure, but I’ll accept it with gratitude wherever it’s coming from! lol

Here, was an interesting daily draw from Saturday.

The Lily and the Bouquet combine to give the meaning of contentment and joy….peace of the heart.

The Bouquet and the Key can mean incredible success! So again, the cards are hinting that things are going to change rapidly.

The Lily, for me, also represents a gray or white haired man, or an older gentleman. One is my ex, and this doesn’t relate! lol The other gent I haven’t met yet, but have talked on the phone. He is a very successful business man who had me do a series of readings recently.

In them, there had been some trouble with money and banking on one deal, and incredible success and fortune with another he had me look at.

He is now on his way across the world to finish the deal that the cards had said would go well…. I’m hoping that this draw refers to incredible success for him!

Otherwise, both the Lily and the Bouquet could be people, possibly my ex and myself. The Key then might show a solution/resolution being made between us. The Key brings unexpected answers to problems…..that would be nice as well.

I got to the point, where I almost dreaded posting something here – (what an awful thing to say!) I have had a LONG drawn out series of readings that only had to do with my husband’s legal case, and frankly, not only was I sick to death of it…..but getting angry at the cards for showing nothing else!

They have been correct on showing the delays and troubles that we’ve had, so I should be happy when the cards show happy resolutions of this matter.

I just want to say WHEN?? WHICH YEAR?? lol  My patience has run out,  I’m tired and stressed out. What I’ve found recently, is that since this has been the most important issue in our lives for awhile, it’s all it wants to show! This means that dailies didn’t stay that way, they showed trends instead….very very frustrating.

Having said that, this was the draw I had a few days ago: Sun and Bear shows victory and great  success with money coming….and the Tower, in this case, refers to legal.

The defendant has until this Friday (the 13th!) to pay, or face the judge for perjury. So maybe, just maybe, this about to come to an end.

Once this matter finally does come to and end, I think I will need to re-program some of my associations with the cards…and that goes for all my different decks, not just the Lenormand. Who will be the snake lady, after this snake lady is gone? lol Hopefully no one, at least not for a very long time

The Storks shows movement, or improvements around something.

The Ship/Bear seem to say foreign money, or money at a distance…

Sylvie Steinbach gives these meanings to the Ship/Bear: money transfer, international investments, foreign currency. I didn’t realise at the time how correct this was.

We received word on Saturday, and again today that there is a transfer taking place of foreign funds on Monday morning!

I’m going to have to remember to think of the Storks card as sometimes being like the Journey card in the Kipper deck; showing action/movement…

I had mentioned in a reading using the Gypsy cards on The Card Lover, that I would receive a gift that would bring unexpected joy. I didn’t believe it at the time, to be honest mainly because I couldn’t think of anyone or anything.

The next day I got the really unexpected joy of finding out that a friend of mine had ordered something to be sent to me, but I didn’t know what. She gifted me with my very own copy of the Lenormand Arlo deck! To say I am tickled pink would be putting it mildly. I just love the illustrations on this simple, traditional deck.

Fox – Rider – Bouquet:

The Rider/Bouquet combination heralds wonderful news! The Fox card, for me, has to do with work/employment. I grinned when I saw these and crossed my fingers, that we would finally be receiving the happy news we’ve been waiting for .

I drew these Wednesday morning, I think, just before I sprained my ankle……only a few minutes ago I  actually received the news: the bank has cleared the funds and they should be transferred on Monday! so being in limbo is about to come to an end! hooray! Work is going to begin in earnest, next week.

The cards have been insisting that good changes were on the horizon, sometimes it’s just hard to be patient

I’ve had an unexpected absence…one that only cryptically showed up in any of my card systems, surprisingly!

A couple of days ago, as I was walking from the hallway to the family room, I made a misstep on the small riser and went flying through the air into the family room. My ankle completely gave way and I spent an agonising 1/2 hour curled up on the floor with my husband giving me Reiki.

My dreams had shown me being out of commission (actually in the hospital!) but luckily, I seem to be managing with it wrapped and walking carefully with a cane.

When you push too hard, and don’t take time to rest and nurture yourself, the Universe will slow you down one way or another! I didn’t take heed to the warning and am paying the consequences oh well.

On to a post about cards!

I drew these just the other day, and I’m still not sure about them!

The Rider is news coming, or someone new coming into my sphere.

It’s the possibilities with the Lily & Book that make me wonder. It makes me think of extensive knowledge, or pleasing knowledge.

Traditionally it’s the combo for a librarian as well! Am I simply going to meet a librarian, or a researcher? or a learned gentleman who possibly is a bit older and has gray hair?? lol  You never know!

Simply strung out as a sentence this could say that I’m going to be receiving very pleasing, satisfying news that comes as a bit of a surprise.

The Lily card representing a gentleman, could in our case either my ex-husband, or the other parties’ lawyer; so maybe we’re going to hear from one of those men shortly.

I hope for the surprising pleasing news, frankly! I need a lift!

update: I didn’t meet a librarian or researcher especially since I was incapacitated with my ankle and unable to go anywhere; but this did come true in 3 different ways.

Two days after posting this, I was able to get a membership to an “occult” sharing group online that’s very hard to get into They had lots of goodies I was eager to look at, and couldn’t believe my luck at getting in.

I drew these on October 11. I played with all the possibilities, maybe a small family trip in the car? Moving home shortly? haha

House/Ship can denote “moving away” & Ship/Child can refer to a foreign born child, or a child at a distance from us.

My first thought was that the house was talking about family, and specifically about one of the kids who lives far away.

At the very least, I thought we might be hearing about one of my husband’s daughters in England.

Sure enough, late last night (Oct 12), my husband received a very terse email from the mother of his 10 year old daughter saying that she was cutting off webcam visits! We normally play Nintendo DS games with her once a week while visiting on webcam. The mother was angry about late payments and said “that’s it”. Nice. She knows our circumstances at the moment, so I thought that was pretty mean.

No matter what issues I’ve had with my children’s father in the past, I never used my children in that way. They’re relationship was just that, theirs, and I never interfered with them.

This too shall pass

The Letter refers to either news on the way, or documents…..Crossroads tells me that I’m either facing a choice between two things, or there are multiples involved.

Crossroads combined with the Bear hints at multiple sources of cash flow….(hmmm, I’d settle for one at the moment!)

Most likely we are presented with paperwork or news that needs a decision from us, which leads to money coming our way.

Today is the the Debtor’s Exam for the defendant in my husband’s legal case….maybe they will present an offer rather than being grilled. We shall see.
