Daily Draw: (5)Tree + (4)House + (7)Snake

March 19, 2008

I thought for a change, I would use the  Piatnik 194115 deck. The colors are brighter:) It doesn’t help me understand this draw any better though!

I’ve tried all the combinations, and it just doesn’t click- I’m first assuming that (4)House is my focus. The House card represents the home, and family and it’s affairs. The (5)Tree usually means something about health…and the (7)Snake is trouble! (I hate the Snake card). A combination of the (5)Tree + (7)Snake would hint at physical ailments, aches and pains, illness.

Seeing the (4)House card makes me think it’s about someone in the family, not me…. oh I see where this is headed; the adult daughter who has had a mysterious illness, is coming for a visit this weekend. So this is probably showing that our focus will shift to her in the next day or so…. that’s all I can think of! 🙂

update: the following day, I was struggling to get the front door to our house open, and somehow pulled a muscle in my upper arm! really freaky- I think there’s more to this draw than that, but it definitely fits under this draw…

    HI Spiritsong

Maybe a family member is not being exactly truthful about their health, either playing it up or down.

    Hi Phoenix-
Now that’s interesting! I know that the adult daughter plays it down; but I am also certain that my ex-husband has been lying to us about his health!so that’s a interpretation I want to remember-

    thanks-

I’ve been enjoying your blog since finding it from Aristede’s blogroll.

In the book that came with Titania’s Fortune Cards there is another meaning for the snake: “A very tricky card. Can be deceit if surrounded my negative cards; can be wisdom if surrounded by strong positive cards”.

Since both the house and the tree are very positive cards – perhaps, in this three card spread the snake can be interpreted as wisdom. Then these three cards might mean that you and your family are growing wise as you get older!

Hope you don’t mind that I added you to my blogroll.

    Post Script:

In case you have the book that came with Titania’s cards – the quote is from page 19 where short descriptions of the cards are given.

    Hi Sammie! Welcome 🙂
    I’ve seen Titania’s cards/set, but wasn’t drawn to them
    (artwork)-
That’s a very thought provoking insight on the snake-
which makes real good sense to me. I will have to remember that- (the snake has represented wisdom in many ways in occult circles)-

To be honest, I am trying to stay aligned with Sylvie Steinbach’s teachings of the cards…that has been my goal; at least until I feel I have had a firm footing with the nuances of the language I am learning. It’s like discovering your own dream symbology, isn’t it?

I was invited to become a member of a wonderful forum for Lenormand awhile back- but it meant that I would be trying to incorporate too many systems of thought all at once..and I knew intuitively, that then I would fail. So I decided to put all of my energies into Sylvie’s teachings– and WOW have I had validation of how accurate her meanings can be!! lol
I’ve done readings for people who have been blown away with the detail and accuracy-
and it has really helped me bond with the cards.
So I have shied away from expanding my ‘meanings’ knowledge base so to speak– I know you’ve been studying for years with the cards, so I’m sure you understand what I’m trying to say.
But- having said that, I welcome your input and insights! The Snake insight is an excellent one!
Just understand that my first interpretations will be with what I am trying to fix to my mind– Sylvie’s knowledge and success with the cards 🙂 (I’m a great fan, can you tell? lol)

Look forward to getting to know you better 🙂
    keep posting!! lol

Hi Spiritsong– loving the deck my lovely– gorgeous colours- makes the snake look pretty-

I was away so I have to catch up on this spread- my take on the spread- I always look at the snake to see if I need to be on the look out for something. Tree+House for me is spiritual home or old home- the snake turning up may mean plumbing or connections– I would just make sure that the pipes are checked out.

Incidentally- Sylvie mentions house repairs for the house-snake combo-

once again- loving the deck..:) bright colours are gorgeous and enthralling..

    Love

By the way, I love the new deck….it’s much more clearer than the other one you were using. I got mixed up with the storks and birds in other one.

    Hi Spiritsong,

It is totally understandable that you want to stick with one set of meanings! I recently purchased Sylvie’s book and need to really go into it in more depth. The meanings she assigns to the cards are sometimes quite different than the traditional meanings of the Lenormand Cards. It is good that she is taking a fresh approach.

    Hi Guys!!
I was so surprised to see so many comments this evening!
Stormy: YIKES!! lol got to admit that we have had plumbing problems with this house in the past-
we were told even before we bought this house, by an amazing psychic in England “be sure you have a good plumber, you will need it!” (we have a fantastic one, and we have needed him!)
I pray you are wrong 🙂
Sammie: Glad you understand my focus- but am still interested in your insights:)
Phoenix: Thanks! will probably re-vamp everything.
I love the Blue Owl cards that I read with, but also really like the colorful, and sweet illustrations of the Piatnik alternative… I’m just feeling like a change:)

Don’t know if you guys ever check out the updates, but I’ve had ALOT of confirmation lately! lol

    Thanks everybody for your input-

    SpiritSong~

    *Hugs to Aristede* 🙂
