Sadly, I understood this as soon as I drew it. Great upset and stress for both the child and the mother, or you could combine the child and the woman to denote a young woman, or daughter.

At the very last moment, we realised we weren’t going to be able to get the funds to send my daughter off to her first year at University. We had the school pretty well lined up, but couldn’t afford clothes or airfare! The money just didn’t arrive in time to pull it off. Heartache has been very much evident (especially with the ‘Mom’!)

My daughter is very philosophical about it all, and has devised an alternative course of studies for this year ‘off’. She is one amazing (and bright) 17 year old…. I’m truly blessed.

Your daughter is truly amazing! I am sorry to hear this. It sounds like she has some good ideas for what to do next, though.

And I hope you had a wonderful birthday!

Oh Spirity, I’m so sorry to hear this, but it sounds as though your daughter has good ideas about what to do and who knows what the coming year will bring.

    Hugs, Kat

    Thanks guys-

There seems to be a silver lining developing around this school situation. The University is going to let her defer for a year, not losing her place! So now, she will be able to make the most of this year, knowing that the program will there waiting for her next fall.

We all whooped and hollered 🙂 lol
